January 4th, 2008
The Elgin Theatre
Toronto, Ontario

The orchestra is blaring from the pit at the front of the stage as the scene opens from the Elgin Theatre in Toronto.  The first few rows are filled with the NLCW's elite.  Wrestlers, managers, divas, and officials are dressed their best, applauding the start of the show.

As the camera pans back you can see hundreds of excited NLCW fans cheering along with them.  The curtain on the stage is pulled back, revealing an elaborate set of television screens flashing images of the greatest NLCW moments of the last year.  The spotlight shines on the podium as the announcer speaks.

Announcer: Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome your hosts for the evening: Aaron Jennings and Bryan Terwilliger!

The crowd applauds as Jennings and Terwilliger step out from behind the curtain and make their way to the podium.

AJ: Welcome everyone to the 2007 NLCW Plexie Awards!

BJ:  We are going to recognize NLCW greatness here tonight.

AJ:  The men and women that will walk up onto this stage tonight are the best of the best in this business.  They are great teams, they are dedicated workers, they have achieved individual accomplishments.  Regardless of what they have done, those who will be recognized tonight have all displayed greatness in the past year.

BT:  And what a year it was!  Let's take a moment to watch some of the greatest moments of the past twelve months!

AJ:  Ladies and gentlemen, this was the year 2007 in the NLCW!

A video package highlighting the events of the past year plays on the main video screen.  The fans applaud the moments they loved, jeer the moments they hated, and ooh and aww frequently, reliving the past year in NLCW history.  As the video package ends the fans are on their feet, celebrating the achievements of the NLCW stars!

Announcer: Ladies and Gentlemen we'll be back after the break with Tanya Black and the NEW NLCW Undisputed World Champion Rick Majors!

Announcer: Ladies and gentlemen, to present the award for Hardest Working Superstar... The New NLCW Undisputed World Champion..... Rick Majors!

Rick Majors walks onto the stage holding his championship as the crowd explodes.

Rick Majors:  Thank you.  Thank you all.  I have a lot to talk about regarding Slamfest and what went down on Sunday, but they've told me I only get thirty seconds to do this, so here goes.  The true greats in NLCW history have built their careers on blood, on sweat, on hard work and dedication.  Nothing in this company is handed to you, you have to work for everything you are given.  It is with great honour that I stand here today to present the Plexie for Hardest Working Superstar.

Majors tears open the envelope and reads it.

Rick Majors:  Ladies and gentlemen... the Plexie goes to

Majors is visibly angered as he reads the name.

Rick Majors:..... Chris Logan.

Tension begins to build as Rick Majors stands on the podium. Making his way towards Majors is Chris Logan as neither man reaches out for a hand exchange. Slowly grabbing the award is Chris Logan as Rick quickly turns his back and makes his way off stage as Logan leans forth and begins to speak into the microphone.

Chris Logan: You know I was told awhile back by an old friend…… that it was time for me to step my game up and really give it all I got. You all probably know who I’m talking about but his name isn’t important right now, however I did take his advice. Not only was my mission to defeat my opponents, but to leave a statement and with that said I dominated 2007! No one worked harder then Chris Logan and my accomplishments during 2007 can shut anyone up who thinks otherwise. I will take this award in hopes of making 2008 just as memorable!

Lifting the award high over his head, Chris Logan steps away from the podium while being escorted back to his seat.

A recap of Slamfest is shown, highlighting the night's events.

We return to the podium now.

BT:  The NLCW is filled with some of the brightest young stars in the business!

Aj:  And last year was no different as many young athletes made their NLCW debuts in 2007!

BT:  To present the award for NLCW Rookie of the Year the lovely Tanya Black!

Tanya walks onstage in a beautiful red evening gown. Hearing the applause she blows kisses to the audience as she makes her way to the podium.

Tanya Black: Okay okay. Let’s quiet down this is not my time to shine. Right now are here to honor the NLCW Rookies of the past year. It’s the simple truth that no one can wrestle forever and therefore the only way a company can survive and prosper is to get that injection of new blood. Two years ago I got to play that role. This year brought a new batch of exciting newcomers but only one will be called the Rookie Of The Year.

Tanya tears open the envelope and reads the name to herself before looking back up.

Tanya Black: Now I am proud to present the 2007 NLCW Rookie Of The Year… Isaac Reynolds!

‘In The End’ by Linkin Park hits as the winner, Isaac Reynolds, stands up from his seat and embraces the numerous hands presented to him with high fives of recognition. Wearing a smart but understated black two-piece suit and striped white shirt, Reynolds glides effortlessly into the aisle and begins to walk towards the stage. A montage of some of ‘The Reality’s’ best moments flashes up on the screens as Reynolds takes his time getting to the stage to accept his award. Passing many more NLCW Alumni and people he has never seen before, Reynolds takes their cheers and high fives in his stride before bounding up the steps and walking up to the podium. Stepping back respectfully from the podium and her former adversary, Tanya Black leaves the award and microphone to Isaac Reynolds.

Isaac Reynolds: This award means so much to me. It is testament to the effort that I have put in over the last year to make myself into the people I have watched on television for years.

Reynolds grasps his Rookie of the Year award in one hand, studying it in near awe.

Isaac Reynolds: Whilst I don’t feel I owe this award to anybody other than myself there are some people who have helped me along in this, my rookie year. People like Dillon Durst and Chris Logan, Sean Galen and even Tanya Black.

Reynolds looks over his shoulder at Black for a moment, showing some respect for the woman who used to be his stablemate and faced him several times in bloody encounters.

Isaac Reynolds: So, trust me when I say this. In my second year in NLCW I will push the barriers even further and make my way closer to being an NLCW World Champion.

Taking his Rookie of the Year award, Reynolds walks off as his music hits again. Once again Reynolds nails a few high fives to members of the audience as he makes his way back to his seat.

Announcer: Ladies and Gentlemen we'll be back after the break with former NLCW World Heavyweight Champion Sean Galen and the award for NLCW Rising Star!

Announcer: Ladies and Gentlemen... Sean Galen!

Galen steps up to the podium, wearing a pair of dark jeans, and a white, tight fitting, Famous Stars and Straps t-shirt. He stands behind the podium, and gives the audience a smile, as the countless women whistle at him.

Sean Galen: Settle it down ladies. Plenty to go around.

Galen clears his throat.

Sean Galen: All right, so tonight I’m here to present the top rising star in the business. This person is a fresh face to the scene, and has been putting on a clinic since his arrival. He’s climbed the ladder as quickly as anyone, and actually shown the respect to those that paved the way for him.

Galen steps back and puts towards himself, laughing at his own joke.

Sean Galen: But in all seriousness, this reward has been won by the greats within this company, and stands true that the rising star of the year shall certainly hold that great strap. SO without any further ado…

Galen fumbles with the letter, then tears it open.

Sean Galen: And your winner, the 2007 Plexie for NLCW Rising Star goes to…

ISAAC REYNOLDS!

Once again ‘In The End’ by Linkin Park hits and the camera focuses on Isaac Reynolds who seems shocked at receiving a second award. Rising from his seat with his Rookie of the Year award still in hand, Reynolds begins to make his way to the stage whilst shaking the hands of numerous people around him. Reaching the stage Reynolds walks up the steps and stands in front of the podium where he places his first award next to this new Rising Star award.

Isaac Reynolds: I wasn’t expecting to make two trips un here tonight, but it doesn’t surprise me. Time after time this year I have told you all that I will become one of the biggest stars in this business. And now I have this to prove to people that it isn’t just noise, it’s a real possibility.

Reynolds looks around the audience and more specifically at the select members of the Hall of Fame that have turned out.

Isaac Reynolds: Now that I am backed to become next year’s breakthrough wrestler I can focus less on establishing myself as a force and more on becoming a future great in this industry. I may be a Rising Star now but in the near future I will become the Shining Star on NLCW.

Picking up both of his awards, Isaac walks off the stage to the sound of his entrance music. Walking back to his seat, Reynolds receives a number of pats to his back as he cant shake hands.

AJ and Bryan have relocated to the balcony now.

AJ:  He definitely deserved that award!

BT:  He'll be one to watch in 2008, no doubt about it!

AJ:  Now on to our next award...

BT:  Ooh!  Ooh!  Can I announce them!?  Can I!?

AJ:  Okay, okay!

BT:  Ladies and gentlemen, to present the award for Diva of the Year two of the greatest divas in NLCW history, the sexy and alluring Justice and Faith!

Justice and Faith make their way to the podium now.

Justice:  Faith and I have been with this company for a long time.

Faith:  And we've seen a lot of divas come and go.

Justice:  But it takes a special diva to be named Diva of the Year.

Faith:  It takes skill, hard work, dedication, and even sex appeal.

Justice:  So it is with great pleasure that we announce this year's Plexie for Diva of the Year...

Both women lean in as Justice tears open the envelope.

Faith:  ...TANYA BLACK!

Hearing her name called Tanya Black emerges from the back and walks across the stage smiling and waving to the cheering fans. Taking the podium she wipes a few tears from her eyes.

Tanya: Thank You! You know I’ve had some pretty disappointing losses this year. And some great wins. Won the tag titles with Bucky Skyler. Won the Women’s Title in a great street fight with Faith and Kelly Rein.

The fans cheer at mention of those top moments as Tanya stops and waits for them to quiet down again.

Tanya: I certainly tried my damnedest to be the best I could be. Having all of you agree and even say I was the best Diva in the entire NLCW for the entire year….. well it makes me remember why I do this. For the love of the fans and the joy I feel knowing everyone who watches me is entertained on some level.

A few sections start a Tanya Black chant and she indulges them for a minute before asking for silence.

Tanya: Thank you but we have many more people to honor so let me get this in before I’m forced off stage by the producer: I Love everyone who has ever supported me and I’m buying everyone who can cram into The Brick a beer to celebrate my first Plexie!

With that Tanya leaves the stage while taking another bow as the fans cheer even louder and louder.

Announcer: We're not done yet!  When we come back we'll be joined by Chris Logan and Bucky Skyler and the awards for biggest shock of the year, faction of the year, tag team of the year, and biggest return or debut when the 2007 NLCW Plexie Awards continue!

As we come back Bucky Skyler is already standing at the podium.

Bucky Skyler: The NLCW has had it's share of shocking moments over the last year so it is with great honour that I present the Plexie Award for Shock of the Year.

Bucky Skyler opens the envelope.

Bucky Skyler: Congratulations... Sean Galen for returning at War Games to help the NLCW secure victory!

Sean Galen walks up to the podium now.  He looks down at the award.  As if the very idea of him helping to save the NLCW now sickens him, he takes the award and walks off stage, wthout saying a world.

Announcer: Ladies and gentlemen, here to present two awards tonight... Chris Logan!

With an ice pack over his head, Chris Logan pushes freely through the curtains as he approaches the podium. Leaning forth with his envelope he begins to speak.

Chris Logan: If you’re apart of the NLCW as a wrestler or watching from your television, and of course filling the seats to an arena….. You know that returns and debuts always occur. Through 2007 we’ve seen just that with many names that have come to test the NLCW and only failed thus walking away. And for those who simply just can’t stay away from the excitement and opportunity in which the NLCW brings forth to the table.

Looking around in disgust Chris Logan pauses for a minute as he wanting to leave the podium.

Chris Logan: The man I am about to bring has brought hope back to the NLCW when he joined them in the battle to destroy Anarchy Inc. Unfortunately he is a hero to the world of wrestling. I am being paid for this, and to let you all know calling this man a hero isn’t coming from my heart. The man is a legend and can never be replaced because of the heart he has not just for the business of wrestling, but for the name of NLCW!

Opening the envelope Chris continues.

Chris Logan: Ladies and gentlemen please welcome Rick “Impact” Majors.

Another moment of awkwardness takes place as this time Chris Logan has to present an award to Rick Majors.  The two men glare at one another as Majors slowly takes the award from the podium.

Logan steps backwards as NLCW security step in between the two men so that Majors can deliver his acceptance speech.

Rick Majors:  First of all, I would like to thank the fans for this award.  Since my return it has been their support that has driven me.

The fans begin to applaud.

Rick Majors:  I would also like to thank the NLCW itself.  It's no secret that I returned in order to defeat people like Chris Logan...

Majors looks over his shoulder as Logan glares at him.

Rick Majors:  ... and his friends in Anarchy Inc.  I returned to help defeat their forces and, together - UNITED - the NLCW stopped that group from taking over our company.  But I also returned for selfish reasons - to prove that I could, to prove that I still had it.  And, standing up here tonight holding this award and this championship on my shoulder...

Majors glances at Logan once again.

Rick Majors:  ... I know that I definitely still have it!  Thank you everyone and have a Happy New Year!

The fans cheer as Rick Majors leaves the podium with his award.  The security parts as Chris Logan sneers and returns to present the next award.

Chris Logan:
Chaos A.D.  Absolution.  Higher Authority.  The Saints.  The first three groups all hoped to become what the last group truly is: a dominant faction in the NLCW.

Chris Logan clears his throat.

Chris Logan:
This year the NLCW was graced by many groups, all vying for domination of the company.  But only one can be named Faction of the Year.

Logan opens the envelope.

Chris Logan:
And the winner is... Anarchy Inc.!

Announcer: Accepting the award on behalf of Anarchy Inc: Dillon Durst!

Dillon Durst steps through the curtain now.  Once again the security guards ready themselves.

Chris Logan:  Just you wait a minute!  Dillon Durst is not Anarchy Inc.  Dillon Durst no longer represents what Anarchy Inc. stood for!  If anyone is going to accept this award it is going to be me!

Dillon Durst:  There you go again Chris... trying to steal my glory.  You sicken me.

Dillon Durst turns and he walks off stage.  Chris Logan angrily leaves the stage as well.

Announcer: Ladies and gentlemen to present the award for Tag Team of the Year, please welcome two NLCW legends: Texas Tim and Sam U. Rai!

The crowd boos as two of the least successful NLCW competitors make their way to the podium.

Texas Tim: Sam and I have been in this company for a very long time and we've seen a lot of teams come and go.

Sam U. Rai: You're right Tim.

Texas Tim: You know Sam... you and I might not make a bad team.

Sam U. Rai: We are two respected veterans in this company.

Texas Tim: But enough about us.  The NLCW Tag Team of the Year is...

Sam U. Rai:  Lethal Intent!

Dark Prophet and JackHammer both walk up to the microphone and they accept the award.  Tim and Sam fade back into the background where they belong.

JackHammer: I'm gonna make the short.  Yea finally the fans did something smart and voted us, Lethal Intent the 2007 NLCW Tag team of the year, Cause we are the greatest team ever.

With that the two men hold their Plexies in the air as they walk off the stage.

Announcer: Things are heating up!  But they will get hotter when we return as Scarlett Williams will present the award for Match of the Year!  Plus, JackHammer presents the award for Feud of the Year!

AJ:  What a night we've had thus far!

BT:  This has been outstanding!  When you stop and think about the level of talent we've seen on this stage tonight it's amazing!

AJ:  Now before we move on both Bryan and myself would like to take this opportunity to thank the fans of the NLCW for their support over the past year!

BT:
You can ask almost every superstar in this company and they will tell you that the support that the fans show us is one of the main reasons this is such a great company to work for!  Thank you!

AJ:  And now to present the Plexie Award for Feud of the Year.... JackHammer!

JackHammer walks up to the podium.

JackHammer: Ladies and Gentlemen I am here to announce the 2007 NLCW Feud of the Year. A feud is where people wrestle against each other and where both parties have no love for one another at all. And where both try to kill each other and where the fans love or hate watching a certain feud.

JackHammer opens up an envelope.

JackHammer: Now without further a do, the 2007 NLCW Feud of the Year is ...NLCW vs. Anarchy Inc.

With that said Tyler Scott and Dillon Durst approach the podium as they both lean forth into the microphone while holding their awards.

Dillon Durst: You know something Tyler Scott….. I’ve never seen anyone get their ass kicked in 2007 then Tyler Scott!

Tyler chuckles back as he begins to speak.

Tyler Scott: That may be true Dillon….. But look at what it’s done. The ass kicking I got from Anarchy Inc pushed all of NLCW together…… what happen after? We put an end to all of Anarchy. Just like that!

Clearing his throat Dillon leans forth and speaks to the microphone.

Dillon Durst: I was getting tired of Anarchy Inc anyway! I’m also getting tired of standing here with you so I thank you all!

Dillon and Tyler are escorted to their seats as the crowd applauds.

AJ and Bryan are once again standing in the balcony.

AJ:  We're winding down here tonight, but the next two awards are arguably the biggest awards of the show!

BT:  You're right about that AJ!  And it brings me a TREMENDOUS amount of pleasure to introduce our next presenter.

AJ:  I bet it does!

BT:
Ladies and gentlemen, to present the award for Match of the Year, the beautiful and talented Scarlett Williams!

The male fans in attendance go nuts as Scarlett Williams steps out, dressed to the nines.  She walks up to the podium and smiles.

Scarlett Williams:  There were a lot of great NLCW matches in 2007 and that made this award one of the hardest to decide.  But one match stood above them all as the greatest match in the NLCW in 2007.

Scarlett opens the envelope.

Scarlett Williams:  The Plexie Award for 2007 Match of the Year goes to....

Scarlett pauses for a moment.

Scarlett Williams:  War Games from NLCW 1NE!

The ending of the match plays on the venue's video screens.

Mike Bessette hits Galen with a forearm smash. Mike continues the attack with Galen against the ropes. Sean Galen drops his knees and hits a low blow to Mike Bessette. The King then captures Bessette and hits the Insult to Injury – The reverse Russian Legweep. After planting Bessette’s face into the mat, he rolls him over and covers. The referee sees the pinfall and slides to the mat.

AJ: COVER BY GALEN!

ONE…TWO…

BT: Durst!

Dillon Durst sees the cover and charges over to break it up, however, Remnant spears Durst into the canvas before he can get there.

BT: NO!

The referee then slams his hand down once again.

THREE!

AJ: YES! IS THAT? DID HE COVER HIM? IS IT ALL OVER?

The referee signals to ringside and the bell is rung.

LW: Ladies and gentlemen…your winners of WAR GAMES… TEAM NLCW!

AJ: YES! YES!

BT: NO! HOW?

Galen jumps to his feet in celebration of getting the winning pin fall. Hi teammates leave their struggles with Anarchy members to celebrate with them.

AJ: NLCW have won! Galen has won War Games for No Limits Championship Wrestling.

Announcer: Accepting the award is the man who scored the final pinfall: Sean Galen!

Sean Galen walks up to the podium now.

Sean Galen:  At 1NE I proved that regardless of the odds, regardless of who you put in the ring against me, regardless of what is at stake, I am simply the greatest wrestler in this organization.  I am a King.  I am a God.  I am a Saint.  Thank you.

With that Sean Galen takes the award and leaves the stage.

Announcer: Ladies and gentlemen, we will return shortly with our final award of the night: The Plexie Award for 2007 Wrestler of the Year!

Announcer: Welcome back!  To present the award for 2007 Wrestler of the Year, please welcome Dominic Pericolo and Chris Champion!

The cameras cut to the audience, where for the first time in a year, Dominic Pericolo and Chris Champion are seen on NLCW television! Champion and Dominic both leave their wives-- Suki Minamoto clearly in the stages of pregnancy-- and head up the stairway leading to the stage and the podium. As they reach it, there's a brief scuffle between the two over who gets the microphone first, which causes the audience to laugh. Finally, Dominic concedes and shakes his head with a grin, giving the mic to Champion. In the background, a stagehand sneaks in to hand Dominic a microphone without Champion's knowing.

Dominic Pericolo: And now, we’ve come out here to present –

Champion drags at the microphone before receiving another one from a stagehand.

Chris Champion: Jesus Christ, how did you get that without me noticing?

Dominic Pericolo: Your vision is going in your old age, Champ.

Chris Champion: I’m still young enough to hand you an ass kicking, Perculator!

Dominic Pericolo: Ahem, anyway, moving on. We’re out here to present the award for wrestler of the year. I’d say this is perhaps the biggest award of the evening. So, without further adieu…

Chris Champion: C’mon Pericolo, quit hogging the limelight. I want the important line: Without further adieu, here is your NLCW wrestler of the year 2007…

Champion lunges for the white envelope in Pericolo’s hands.

Chris Champion: And the winner is… CHRIS LOGAN!

The crowd applauds out of respect as Chris Logan returns to the stage once again.

Chris Logan: It’s an honor to be nominated for wrestler of the year let alone win. We’ve had some amazing talent here in NLCW during our 2007 run, Alex Taylor, Dillon Durst, and yes Chris Champion. This year was such an emotional year for me….. I won the Sultan of Squared Circle….. Following that I took home the NLCW World title. I’ve had some outstanding matches with the likes of Ethan Andrews, Alex Taylor, Sean Galen, and many others. Truly a year I wont forget, thank you all for voting and I’ll you in the ring soon!

Chris Logan once again shakes the hands of Dominic Pericolo and Chris Champion as he raises his award high over his head.

AJ:  Woo!  What a night it's been!

BT:
What a YEAR it's been!

AJ:  You're right about that!  But I have a feeling 2008 might just be even better!

BT:
Goodnight everyone!

AJ:  Thanks for watching and Happy New Year!

The camera pans the crowd as the credits roll.
