An orchestra is blaring from the pit at the front of the stage and loud applause are heard as the scene opens in a lavish theatre.  The first few rows are filled with the NLCW's elite.  Wrestlers, managers, divas, and officials are dressed their best, applauding the start of the show.

As the camera pans back you can see hundreds of excited NLCW fans cheering along with them.  The curtain on the stage is pulled back, revealing an elaborate set of high definition television screens showing images of the greatest NLCW moments of the last year.  The spotlight shines on the podium as an announcer is heard over the theatre's speaker system.

Announcer: Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome your hosts for the evening: Aaron Jennings and Bryan Terwilliger!

The crowd applauds as Jennings and Terwilliger step out from behind the curtain and make their way to the podium.

Aaron Jennings: Welcome everyone to the 2008 NLCW Plexie Awards, and Happy New Year! Tonight we are going to celebrate the best in this business.

Bryan Terwilliger:  This was another remarkable year in NLCW history, and we capped it all off with Slamfest on Sunday night.  What a show that was.

The crowd cheers at the mention of Slamfest.

Aaron Jennings: It was amazing show.  And congratulations to the winner of the main event, the new NLCW Undisputed World Champion: Delfino!

The crowd cheers even louder.  Delfino and Rikki Lee are seen sitting in the audience.

Bryan Terwilliger:  Without further ado, let's get to our first award.  To present the award for Tag Team of the Year, please welcome NLCW hall of famer Dazz!

Tag Team of the Year
Presented by Dazz

Metallica's "Broken, Beat & Scarred" plays as Dazz emerges on stage wearing a white suit and black shirt unbuttoned to show his muscular physique carrying two Plexies in his hands, standing in front of the podium and looking around.

Dazz: Ok, tag team wrestling has been a lost art in recent years but we all remember the greats of yesteryear. From the tag team of Rick Majors and Derrick Lambert to the Chris Logan and Dillon Durst tandem. Hell I've been in a few famous tag teams myself that have gone down in history, from the Chaos A.D. team of myself and Violent A.....

He smiles as the camera gets a shot of Alex Taylor in his newest mask seated in the crowd waving his middle finger in the air.

Dazz: ....to the Fallen Angelz team of myself and Jason Stylez.

The camera again cuts to a member of the crowd, a man who looks about 85 years old wearing clothes similar to what Jason would wear, Dazz getting another joke in at his half-brother's expense.

Dazz: But this award is to crown the Tag Team of the Year for 2008, so here are the nominees:
Tanya Black and Enigma,
Chris Logan and Isaac Reynolds, and
Tanya Black and Jackson.

Dazz opens the envelope.

Dazz: And the winners are.......
Chris Logan and Isaac Reynolds!

Chris Logan and Isaac Reynolds both make their ways to the stage, separately.  The two men glare at one another.  The crowd starts to buzz, antipating a confrontation.  Logan and Reynolds each pick up their Plexie Trophies slowly.  They both walk off the stage, never breaking their intense gaze.

The scene heads back to Aaron Jennings, who is now standing alone in the balcony area of the theatre.

Aaron Jennings: When NLCW management posted the sign-up sheet to present awards, our next presenter nearly killed himself running to sign up to present this one.  To present the award for Diva of the Year, please welcome Bryan Terwilliger!

Diva of the Year
Presented by Bryan Terwilliger

Terwilliger walks up to the microphone with a huge smile on his face.

Bryan Terwilliger:  Finally they're letting me present the one award I've always wanted to present!  Diva of the Year!  The NLCW divas are undoubtably something very special.  And they make us all feel very special.  Especially me.  The nominees for this award are:
Tanya Black,
Faith,

Kelly Rien, and
Brandi Wexx

Terwilliger pauses before announcing the winner.

Bryan Terwilliger:  And the winner is... Tanya Black!

Terwilliger smiles as Tanya Black makes her way to the stage.

Tanya Black:  I'd like to thank everyone for once again recognizing that I am the greatest Diva in NLCW. This will always be a prestigious award in my mind and heart no matter where else I go or what else I may do. The NLCW Divas always delivered and to be considered the best amongst them is a great honor.

Tanya smiles and leaves the podium.

The scene now cuts back to Aaron Jennings.

Aaron Jennings: It's great to see Tanya Black once again!  And now, to present the award for Hardest Working Superstar, please welcome the first winner of this award - he won it back in 2004 - Ryan Coleman!

Hardest Working Superstar
Presented by Ryan Coleman

Ryan Coleman walks out from behind the curtain and he makes his way to the stage, envelope in hand.

Ryan Coleman:  I was the first person to win this award and it's a great honour to be here today to present it.  The nominees for Hardest Working Superstar are:
Rick Majors,
Enigma,
Paul York,
Delfino, and
Isaac Reynolds.

Coleman opens the envelope.

Ryan Coleman: And the winner is... Enigma!

With the announcement of him being named NLCW's "Hardest Working Superstar" Bucky stands up as the people clap as his wife Justice stands up and hugs him as he makes his way towards the podium. He takes the award and the envelope and smiles as he reads it to make sure.

Bucky Skyler: Yeah, I wanted to make sure I won this. Being named the hardest working superstar in NLCW is a huge compliment. I'm not one to toot my horn but I have been told by many people that I am perhaps the hardest working man this company has. And to think it all started in January when I made a huge victory at Slamfest in the first Elevation X match, I worked my ass off and set my goals on the Sultan. After three grueling rounds in that tournament I came out the Sultan. I would go on and win the World title a month after that and then I would help mold certain superstars to who they are today. But I want to thank you the fans the most for this award, cause I woulda never done anything I did to be considered this without you being there cheering me or booing me whatever you wanted to do. So this award is for you guys. Thank you.

Bucky holds the award high as the fans erupt and clap as the other various superstars stand up and clap for him.

Bryan Terwilliger is now standing in the theatre's aisle.

Bryan Terwilliger:  Ladies and gentlemen, to present the award for Faction of the Year, please welcome my broadcast colleague, Aaron Jennings!

Faction of the Year
Presented by Aaron Jennings

Jennings walks up to the podium, envelope in hand.

Aaron Jennings: The NLCW has seen many great factions in its history.  From the Fallen Angelz to Chaos A.D. to Higher Authority to Anarchy Inc. and others there have been many groups that have strived for surpremacy in this company.  2008 was no different.  The Saints and Projekt Mayhem both spent a large portion of the year in dominant positions in the NLCW, but only one can be faction of the year.  And the winner is...

Jennings rips open the envelope.

Aaron Jennings: Projekt Mayhem!

With the announcing of Projekt Mayhem taking home the "Faction of the Year Award" Bucky stands up as Justice claps and hugs her man again and kisses the side of his face as she checks to make sure he's good.
Bucky makes his way to the podium and smiles as he takes the award.

Bucky Skyler: Wow, I never thought I would be accepting this award here. I mean I started Mayhem with the intentions of causing some chaos and anarchy. Which we accomplished by making everyone in NLCW attack one another and blame the others.

He stands there and looks around the crowd.

Bucky Skyler: Okay I started the stable with four people. Three of those four have gone on and left the company. But there is ONE whose still in this crowd.

Everyone looks around to see who.

Bucky Skyler: Dazz, get your ass up here and accept this award with me.

Dazz sits there and at first is apprehensive about it but the fans egg him on and he goes up there and Bucky hands Dazz one of the awards. He lifts it up and smiles as he looks at Bucky.

Dazz turns around and shakes hands with Bucky.

Bucky Skyler: Now for those who aren't here I'd like to thank:

Jon Sloan..

The fans erupt.

Bucky Skyler: Lestat...

The fans seem to have mixed feelings.

Bucky Skyler: Paul York...

The fans erupt in a cheer.

Bucky Skyler: Drew Riggs...

The fans are confused.

Bucky Skyler: The Punk...

The fans boo.

Bucky Skyler: and lastly...my favorite bitch killer, Tanya Black.

The fans cheer.

Bucky raises the award and does the shocker before leaving the stage.

Announcer: To present the award for Rookie of the Year, please welcome last year's winner, Isaac Reynolds!

Rookie of the Year
Presented by Isaac Reynolds

The crowd cheers as Isaac Reynolds makes his way to the podium.

Isaac Reynolds: The Rookie of the Year award belongs to the worker who had made the biggest impact in their first year in NLCW. But so much more goes with it. The winner will have the expectation to progress above and beyond their achievements this year and reach new highs in NLCW. Whether they will or will not match this expectation is completely down to them and their ambition. Last year I took this award and went on to capture the Undisputed World Title, a true sign of what rewards could be waiting for tonight’s winner.   So, without further ado, the winner is…

Reynolds opens the envelope.

Isaac Reynolds: Well, the rewards have already started coming in for this year's winner.... Delfino!

Static-X's self-proclaimed "evil disco" assaults the ears of those in attendance, the song "Electric Pulse" signaling the entrance of the Silent Warrior. Rikki Lee is first on stage in his dark black suit, similar colored thin tie plus white shirt and dark sunglasses, his hair a wiry brown as he leads the way up the steps, his client Delfino following close behind wearing cyan colored baggy pants, a white sash around his waist hanging down the back of his thighs and a similar colored cyan mask adorning his head. An emerald green cape hangs and flows down his back, cascading behind him as he walks, the cape attached to a gold and cyan set of shoulderpads resting upon him.

He still has the Slamfest championship belt he won in his debut night for NLCW in 2007 wrapped firmly around his waist, the NLCW Television championship held over his left shoulder while his right hand clutches the newly won NLCW Undisputed World champinship title over his right shoulder. The crowd seems to enjoy seeing him and his agent up on stage, applauding them as they walk towards the podium, Delfino stood just off to the left while Rikki Lee himself stands directly behind it and leaning towards the microphone.

Rikki Lee: Wow, what an honor this is. NLCW Rookie of the Year. My client Delfino has had an outstanding year as you all know, even Hall of Famer Rick Majors stated at Slamfest that nobody in NLCW's rich history has come close to matching the success in their debut year that Delfino has and that was said even before he won the Undisputed World championship.

The camera focuses on the crown jewels of NLCW glinting in the light with its golden tones reflecting off its carefully polished surface.

Rikki Lee: Therefore, in his rookie year to have done and accomplished what my client has, it's only right that he is named Rookie of the Year and despite everything, he would like to thank each and every one of you fans for allowing him into your hearts and minds over the past 12 months because after all, a professional wrestler is only as popular as the fans allow him to be.

Rikki grasps the Plexy award in his hand and raises it as a gesture of thanks before turning to Delfino and patting him on the arm, smiling as he leads the way off the stage as Delfino's entrance theme plays again.

Jennings and Terwilliger are now seen standing on the balcony together.

Aaron Jennings: What a year it has been for that man right there, Delfino.

Bryan Terwilliger:  Definitely!

Aaron Jennings: It was also quite a year for our next presenter.

Bryan Terwilliger:  You're right.  He got his first NLCW win this year and he defeated a former Undisputed World Champion.

Aaron Jennings: You could even say that he's a "Rising Star" himself.

Bryan Terwilliger:  No.  No... I wouldn't say that.  Ever.

Aaron Jennings: Okay, okay, but he is presenting the award for "Rising Star."  Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome Texas Tim!

Bryan Terwilliger:  He still works here?

NLCW Rising Star
Presented by Texas Tim

The fans boo as Texas Tim makes his way to the stage.

Texas Tim:  I'm not sure why I wasn't nominated for this award, but the nominees for NLCW Rising Star are:
The Punk
,
Paul York,
Delfino, and
Brandi Wexx.

Tim tears open the envelope.

Texas Tim:  And the winner is... Delfino!

For the second time tonight, "Electric Pulse" begins to play followed by Rikki Lee making his entrance up the steps to the stage, Delfino behind with his cape billowing and all his championships wrapped around his waist or shoulders, the Rookie of the Year Plexy award in one hand as he stands in the same position as before to the side of the podium. Rikki smiles, grinning wider and standing back with an arm outstretched towards his client, gently bowing and looking to be enjoying himself as the fans chant loudly.

DEL-FI-NO! DEL-FI-NO! DEL-FI-NO! DEL-FI-NO!

Rikki grins and steps back in front of the microphone, waiting until the chant has died down.

Rikki Lee: Thank you for that ovation. Wow, what next, Wrestler of the Year?

The fans go wild at this and seem to love the idea, chanting Delfino's name once more and applauding.

"NO ONE'S BETTER THAN DELFINO!"

A huge laugh from the crowd after that one lone voice yells out, Rikki chuckling and looking in that person's direction.

Rikki Lee: I agree but I'm not sure if anybody else does.

Once again the fans exert their energy and agreement in one mass of chanting and applause. Rikki calms them with hand gestures.

Rikki Lee: Ok, enough joking around, time to be serious. NLCW Rising Star, what does that mean exactly? It means that the person chosen is one to watch in the coming 12 months, one to look out for and see if he repeats the success of the previous year. In Delfino's case that may be a hard act to follow but having been at his side and watching my client's meteoric rise from such a close and personal viewpoint, I'd say he may be up to the challenge.

After all, nobody expected him to win his debut match, the Slamfest battle royal. At the end of that night though nobody, including myself if I'm absolutely honest, predicted that the next 12 months would see two Television championships gained, a Hardcore championship earned with a record breaking 28 week reign, a win in the Road 2 Slamfest tournament and then a Slamfest main event win against Dillon Durst to become Undisputed champion.

What will the future hold for Delfino? Nobody knows but as always, the Silent Warrior will welcome each coming challenge and cross bridges when he comes across them. After all, he didn't think about winning Road 2 Slamfest when he entered as a participant, more like wanting to test himself against some of the very best in NLCW. As NLCW Rising Star 2008 though, Delfino will continue to do whatever he can to ensure that he and his opponents give you fans what you deserve and that is nothing short of the best matches possible. Thank you.

Rikki takes the second Plexie and holds it in the air, Delfino handing him the Rookie of the Year award and allowing him to raise both high above his head before Rikki gently bows to the crowd and then to Delfino before again leading the Silent Warrior off the stage.

Announcer: To present the award for Biggest Shock, please welcome Kevin Ryder.

Biggest Shock
Presented by Kevin Ryder

Kevin Ryder steps up to the podium to speak.

Kevin Ryder: The NLCW is a crazy place and anything can happen.  The nominees for Biggest Shock are:
Isaac Reynolds turns his back on the Saints,
Projekt Mayhem enters the NLCW, and
Texas Tim defeats Chris Logan
.

Texas Tim is briefly shown on camera, shocked that he has been nominated for an award.  He starts to walk up on stage when he's stopped by security.  Kevin Ryder opens the envelope.

Kevin Ryder: And the winner is... Projekt Mayhem!

Bucky stands up again tonight for this time for the award of "Shock Of the Year". That being the masterminding behind Projekt Mayhem and the effort he put behind it and he stands up and laughs as the fans boo Mayhem. But they soon turn to cheers as they all know Bucky did it all for the company. He makes his way to the podium as he reaches it and is handed the envelope by his sister Kelly Rein, who has come to the podium. He looks at her slightly confused.

Bucky Skyler: Hey sis, where's the award?

Kelly smiles as she points behind him and walking out from side is Bucky's ex-fiancee Blair Kivisto with the award in hand. She makes her way to the podium as Bucky is doing nothing but laughing as she approaches him. He tries to hide his comment while he's laughing.

Bucky Skyler: *laughing* You bastards. *laughs*

He looks at Blair to take the award but she puts the award down on the podium and grabs his head and plants a kiss on his lips as the fans erupt as Justice stands up pissed off as all hell. Bucky breaks away trying to wipe his face off and when he turns around he's clocked with the award in the side of the head and he falls down and Blair lays the award on his chest as she walks away before stopping to flip Bucky's wife Justice off. Justice breaks free of Angel Andrews grip and gives chase but is stopped by security and she watches Blair disappear before she checks on her husband. She wipes the lipstick off his face with anger as she tries to wake him up. when he comes to Justice is slightly mad at him but she lets it go cause he didn't plan that and knows he didn't want it. As she wipes his mouth off and checks to make sure he's not bleeding. They walk off the stage as Aaron Jennings and Bryan Terwilliger walk on.

Aaron Jennings: Ladies and gentlemen, our next presenter is an NLCW hall of famer and has just released a DVD set chronicling his career...

Bryan Terwilliger:  That's a good DVD.

Aaron Jennings: It really is.  To present the award for Biggest Return or Debut, please welcome last year's winner, Rick Majors!

Biggest Return/Debut
Presented by Rick Majors

The crowd cheers as Rick Majors makes his way to the podium.

Rick Majors:  Thank you everyone.  It's great to be here.  I've missed this place!

The crowd cheers again.

Rick Majors:  Last year I won this award when I returned to the NLCW to help defeat Anarchy Inc.  That was a special moment for me.  In fact, that moment is included on my new DVD set; Rick Majors: The Cornerstone of the NLCW, available in stores now!

Majors holds up a copy of the DVD set and laughs as the crowd applauds.  He smiles and opens the envelope.

Rick Majors:  And the winner of the Plexie for 2008 Return of the Year is... Dillon Durst.

The crowd gasps for a moment as memories of the Durst/Majors fued rush through their heads.  Rick Majors smiles politely and waits for Dillon Durst to make his way onto the stage.

"Hero" by Pop Evil plays softly as the camera scrambles to find Dillon.

After scurrying the crowd, we catch our first vision of Dillon as he sets calmly. A lady to each side of him as his fetches a kiss from the lips of both of them.

He stands tall, receiving his normal jeering ovation.

He struts down the aisle dressed like he was torn from the pages of this months GQ. He straightens his tie, as he reaches the top of the steps, and grasping his Plexie from the hands of Rick Majors.

The two share a disturbing stare, as the camera flashes erupt from the audience in attendance. Moments pass... neither of them making a move. The tension dies down a bit, as Dillon takes his place behind the podium.

Dillon Durst: "It's been a long year... it seems like just when I think I can leave, I find a handful of reasons to come back."

He adjusts the mic.

Dillon Durst: "Though I did capture another title... I still have a few things to clean up around this place before I undo my laces."

He sheds a grin.

Dillon Durst: "Two thousand and nine will belong to The Legacy."

His music is played once more, as he looks to Rick Majors out of the corner of his eye. The two do not exchange a pleasant goodbye as they make their way off stage separately.

Announcer: To present the Plexie Award for Feud of the Year, please welcome Michelle Davis!

Feud of the Year
Presented by Michelle Davis

Michelle Davis walks onto the stage as the crowd cheers.  She reaches the podium and smiles before addressing the crowd.

Michelle Davis:  The NLCW is a very heated place.  The spirit of competition is very high and thus there are many times when people do not get along.  Here are the nominees for Feud of the Year:
Chris Logan VS. Rick Majors,

Isaac Reynolds VS. Dazz VS. Dillon Durst, and
Enigma VS. Paul York.

And the Plexie for Feud of the year goes to...

Michelle Davis opens the envelope.

Michelle Davis:   Chris Logan VS. Rick Majors.

For the second time tonight both Rick Majors and Chris Logan are caught in a tense situation on stage.  Both men stand on the stage and they are handed their Plexies.  Additional security finally makes its way out, standing in between the two men.  After several moments Rick Majors approaches the microphone.

Rick Majors:  It's a tense night up here tonight.

He looks over at Chris Logan who scowls.  Majors continues to speak, his words very measured and deliberate.

Rick Majors:  Chris Logan is a great competitor and I was honoured to compete against him for the Undisputed Championship.  Thank you for this award.

Rick Majors turns and walks away from the podium.  After a few more tense moments Chris Logan walks towards the mic to say only one thing.

Chris Logan:  I won this feud and the title.

The crowd reacts to Logan's statement as Chris Logan turns and walks off of the stage.  Security escorts Majors backstage.

Announcer: To present the Plexie Award for Match of the Year, please welcome Dade Midvalley.

Match of the Year
Presented by Dade Midvalley

Midvalley walks onto the stage now.

Dade Midvalley:  This was an outstanding year for the NLCW.  I am proud to say that every one of the matches nominated is deserving of this award.  I am even more proud to be here today to present the greatest match of 2008 with its trophy.  The nominees for match of the year are:
Isaac Reynolds vs Dillon Durst vs Dazz,
Chris Logan vs Rick Majors,
Isaac Reynolds vs Chris Logan vs Enigma,
Dead Man's Draw Match: Isaac reynolds VS. Dazz
Thunderdome Hardcore title Match: Delfino VS. Kristian Sailes, and
The Eight Man Tag Team Elimination Match: The Saints VS. Rick Majors' team.

Midvalley opens the envelope.

Dade Midvalley:  And the winner is... The Eight Man Tag Team Elimination Match!  Could I please have the winner of the match, Isaac Reynolds, come to accept the award?

Isaac Reynolds walks up to the stage and accepts the award.

Isaac Reynolds:  Thank you.  Everyone in that match deserves to be up here accepting this award, but I am honoured to be the one doing so.  Thank you.

Isaac Reynolds leaves the stage.  Aaron Jennings and Bryan Terwilliger make their way up to the microphone now.

Aaron Jennings:  It's been quite a night, but now it's time for the final award of the evening.

Bryan Terwilliger:  To present the Plexie Award for Wrestler of the Year, please welcome last year's winner... Chris Logan!

Wrestler of the Year
Presented by Chris Logan

Chris Logan makes his way up to the stage to a mixed reaction from the crowd.

Chris Logan:  The nominees for Wrestler of the Year are:
Enigma
Isaac Reynolds
Dillon Durst
Rick Majors
Delfino

Logan opens the envelope.

Chris Logan:  And the winner is... Isaac Reynolds.

Once again Isaac Reynolds makes his way to the stage to accept an award.

Isaac Reynolds:  Thank you.  I'm definitely honoured to be the winner of this award.  It has definitely been a great year for me.  I have much to thank NLCW for. It has given me my first World Title, something I had always wanted to achieve. It allowed me to improve greatly as a competitor.  Thank you.

Confetti falls from the ceiling as the orchestra starts up again.  The crowd applauds as the 2008 edition of the NLCW Plexie Awards comes to a close.
